Pashupati Nath Temple: Temple of Astrologers...

Have you ever been to Pashupati Nath Temple and returned without a tika on your forehead??

Of course, many of us put on the auspicious tika as a blessing. We feel as if we are energised when we put on the tika. It creates a positive environment around us. 🤗🤗

And in return we OUGHT to be paying some amount to them.
But have you ever wondered whom do you put on the tika from??🤔🤔

We see  a lot of Brahman priests sitting cross legged on the pavements around the Pashupati area premises. They put a plate of tika mixed with rice grains and a book that is supposed to be revealing the future of people who wish to know.  They call themselves so called ASTROLOGERS.🧐🧐

They claim to know a person past as well  as their future. They place a placard depicting a picture of a hand. And many other boards claiming themselves the best astrologers than the remaining others.😄😄

A lot of devotees who come to Pashupati Nath Temple are gradually tempted by such priests. They call them to put on their tika by alluring them with blessings to improve their health, wealth and happiness. They indeed give them blessings with the mantras we ever heard of. 😲😲

Needless to say almost every Brahman priests are not REAL. They are just dressed as an impostor in the Brahmin attire. And those innocent devotees are easily deceived without even knowing that they are being deceived.

Not only on the pavements or the alleys we see the Brahmin priests, the astrologers book a flat or a ground level shop to run their Business of Astrology.

There are lots and lots of astrologers around the Pashupati Nath area.
I once heard a tourist guide saying his tourists that Pashupati Nath Temple is also known as the "City of Astrologers". The tourists easily believed the guide and started whispering among themselves nodding their heads in agreement. I was so very shocked and awed at the same time 😳 I wanted to go and yell the group of tourists not to believe what the guide was depicting. Just because the temple premises are being dwelled by so called swarming astrologers does not mean it has to be the city of astrologers. Kathmandu valley is called "City of Temples" not "City of Astrologers".🙄🙄

The area around the Pashupati Nath Temple is one of the ancient habitats of Newar community. Almost every house in the area has enough space in the ground level for shop. And surprisingly almost every house has astrologers as its tenant. They make their very best efforts to lure the visitors inside their shops to know their future. And once a devotee enters the astrologers shop the person doesn't return without emptying his heavy pocket.

The so called astrologer deceive them in the name of God and the future circumstances that makes the devotee so overwhelmed  the devotees are forced to spend a huge sum of money just to make their future better. They tell their customers that it is compulsory to buy these sum of goods and offer in the name of God to make the god happy. To have faith in God is a different thing and to perform such extravagant expenses in the name of God is way another.

Once a customer enters the astrologers shop the Astrologers make sure their customers return again and again by saying in a religious tone that a ritual is left incomplete or the other ritual has to be completed in  some other auspicious dates. They don't let go of their customers so easily. They hold on to them as a leech holds on to its host.

It's not fair to reveal what sum of money an astrologer takes but it is sure that it is way more that the income of normal middle class family.

There are not only men as Astrologers but women as well who claim themselves to be some reincarnation of some Hindu Goddess. The so called priests and pristess claim to know everything from past and future of the universe. They claim to know everything that the world is about to face. They so have a honey-sweet mouth that is  enough for customers to fall in their boundary. They bet to people that they have cure for each and every diseases around the world. They have treatment for cancer, they have treatment for epilepsy or leprosy but they are unable to predict the cure for Corona virus. A lot of priests claim they have performed worships and pujas to impress the god and save the whole Kathmandu valley from Corona virus. Yet Kathmandu valley is one of the primary hotspot for the spread of Corona virus these days where not less than 1000 people are being infected on a daily basis. It's just so contradictory. 😥😥

If they could predict all the future events of the whole wide universe why on earth couldn't they predict the devastating earthquake of 2015 and the Corona virus pandemic of 2020???🤔🤔

And I find it foolish and stupid that there are still people who believe in each and every word of those Astrologers and have greater faith in them than the god itself. The same people hesitate to donate some of their money to the needy and homeless but they don't hesitate even for a second to donate huge sums of money to those Astrologers in the name of God.🙄🙄

Not each and every Astrologers you seek or you believe in are fraud. They can be genuine Brahmin and priests who are always ready in our service. They give you genuine suggestions and advises for your better future. They are REAL and have spent years and years studying Astrology. They put their views based on scientific facts and figures. They study the condition of the universe, the time period of rotation and revolutionary pattern of different planets and then make their conclusion. This way people trust these Astrologers more than those just depicting mantras as similar as the humming of bees.

It's OK to wish to know your future. But it is necessary to not trust everyone who disguise themselves as priests or Astrologers and spend way lot of hard earned money. There are still sufficient genuine and trustworthy Astrologers in your service.
