INTRODUCTION:

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a  fantasy book written by British author J. K. Rowling. It is the fourth novel in the Harry Potter franchise series. It depicts the fourth year of  Harry Potter at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It tells us about the adventures and excitement regarding the tournament. There resides a bewildered mystery surrounding the entry of Harry's name into the Triwizard Tournament, in which he is forced to compete.

The Triwizard Tournament is the center plot in this novel. Harry is forced to compete and faces a lot is life threatening matches though Harry is under the age of majority in the wizarding world, he is not allowed from entering. This is the major twist in the novel which is filled with dangerous obstacles, the goal being to reach the Triwizard Cup.

ANALYSIS:

I have had no second thoughts when I decided to read the Harry Potter series being known as the world's best seller. Now I am able to corrobate it since I have completed my fourth series of the franchise and grateful for the author. Though it leaves you hanging with lots of mysteries still unsolved it is definitely a hell  worth of a read.

It is one of those remarkable books where you are to get hooked by the characters, plot, drama, magic, tournaments, ball and obviously a bit of romance. It is no doubt a perfect book for teenagers. The major characters also enter their teenage years in the fourth year at Hogwarts. In between the chaos, drama, tournaments and study characters always finds a bit of space for their loved ones.

And not to mention  there is a mighty and mysterious enemy in Voldemort who provides an enduring threat to Harry and his friends. The rapturous duel with Harry is so full of horror and ecstasy at the same time you feel as if you are one of the enthusiast audiences in the parapet. You bellow and warn Harry of the clandestine Trophies. You support Harry in any surreptitious way to win the duel. If  you are interested in Harry's support obviously. There's no offense if you are supporting Voldemort. He is strong, powerful, and influential of course. However he is on the wrong path of evil. To threaten and lure people with the Dark Mark is definitely not powerful.

We are regularly crossed paths with my favourite  Cedric Diggory. He is a Victor elected prior to represent Hogwarts in the Tournament. He is charming, well mannered and above all has a good heart. The way he sacrificed himself during the duel with the enemy is something that the wizarding world will remember till time immemorial.

The most important part here is the Triwizard Tournament. It’s a deadly prestigious event that is being hosted by Hogwarts. The tournament is a series of challenges of three victors; one from each school compete in for fame and glory. The other two magical  schools of Durmstrang and Beauxbatons from the other end of the world comes for the competition which makes the plot way lot more interesting as well as intriguing. The media reporters along with the ministry of magic has a keen interest in this tournament.

CRITICISM:

I was a bit worried when I started The Goblet of Fire that the book was so long.

Buy what one thing it's to be criticized in a positive way is that it is way too more focused in the tournament rather than the school. This is why the book lengthens. The  ramifications of the students of Hogwarts has  quickly grown from Prisoner of Azkaban to Goblet of Fire.
Goblet of Fire expands the Magical world confined inside of Hogwarts to the readers to the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament. These events abide the readers to know about the rest of the magical world apart from Hogwarts.

Just because Harry is famous for defending the Wizarding world greatest enemy he has to be famous now and again. The Triwizard Tournament where only students of 17-18 years old are allowed to participate Harry is anonymously participated. And what's a great surprise is that Harry gets selected which is way more dangerous and Ominous for the kids like Harry. The actions take thereafter is definitely a wonderful read to grab the book.

Throughout the book, there is also the comfort and stability of the friendship between Harry, Hermione and Ron. Though there is some loopholes and cracks between Hermione and Ron and Harry it is nevertheless balanced by Harry. Like he is the only saviour. Saviour of friends from friends and saviour of friends from enemies. I just don't get this. Because Ron is poor wizard while Harry is famous don't mean that Harry gets to do whatever he wishes for. The narcissistic personality Harry has shown in this series is not digestible AT ALL. It’s no surprise that this starts to get on his nerves. Ron is a human after all and he just can't always remain in the shadows of a famous wizard all his life. This part of the story that some people may find tedious and annoying.

Goblet of Fire may not be the best to the series  but it’s still as worth a read. If you are reading through the entire series, you cannot skip this book either.

MY CLOSING THOUGHTS:

I enjoyed the book thoroughly despite its length. This book is truly a heterogeneity of fiction, adventures, friendship, enemies and romance. I bet anyone of us would get bored with the plot. This book leads to the major twist plots that are revealed in the later versions of the series.
If you haven't read the book yet, it's time to re think that decision and bet you will not stop until you reach the end of the series.
HAPPY READING ❤️🤗📚
