INTRODUCTION:
This is the very last Harry Potter book of the series. Deathly Hallows as the name suggests travels the readers in the glorious history of the wizarding world before Dumbledore. This is the first and the last book that does not take place inside Hogwarts. The reality of the outside wizarding world and its challenges are faced by the trio. This book is focused on defeating Voldemort and his Death Eaters by Harry and his allies. In the operation of protecting Harry from Death Eaters, he is flown to the Burrow. Ron's house. They are still attacked there as well and they fly to Grimmauld Place.
They now plan to find and destroy the remaining four Horcruxes. They happen to find the Slytherin's locket but are bewildered in not knowing how to destroy it. They escape Grimmauld Place as the whole Ministry of Magic is behind Harry. The Ministry is now in control of Lord Voldemort. The regular "chase" and "run" drama is so threatening and ominous. Ron is so very tortured to live all by themselves that he abandoned the group and walks off. Now only Harry and Hermione decide to destroy the Horcrux. But the ambience is unusual without Ron. Hermione is shattered. Her intelligence and intellects are of no use. However, with the series of events, Ron arrives and they return to succeed in their leftover mission.
They unravel every Horcrux with great chivalry. It is so startling to realize that all the remaining Horcruxes were around them the whole time without them realizing it. As they had already cracked the last Horcrux before the other Horcrux they were very apprehensive of killing it. At last, they arrive at Hogwarts for the final battle. Harry is protected and supported by the teachers and students. They make a plan to seal the Hogwarts from Death Eaters.
And at last, as they crack what the deathly hallows were they can confront Voldemort. But still, a lot is going on. Harry dies and visits Dumbledore. But is it true.....and how is Harry able to defeat Voldemort?? Before or after his death? Does Harry die? It is so recommended to read the book to unfold them.
It is the far best denouement in the history of literature. It is so grateful that we can witness an eleven-year-old silent boy to seventeen years old adult turning into an action hero at the very end.
ANALYSIS:
“I’m going to keep going until I succeed — or die. Don’t think I don’t know how this might end. I’ve known it for years.” — Harry Potter
These lines from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows are so nerve-wracking that ought to give you goosebumps. I couldn't resist including it here as it is so remarkable that every one of us needs to read this.
This is the last and seventh book of the Harry Potter series. As we know it interprets Harry's seventh year at Hogwarts where we ended formerly that Harry might not be attending Hogwarts this year, I still suggest you read the book for the reveal. Since this is the last book, you expect some spectacular events here. And indeed there are a bunch of such events. It is undoubtedly the fairest but I enjoyed the previous book more. Truly, Rowling has learned exactly what her fans want and subsequently delivers a book that answers every Potterhead’s questions.
I don't understand, because this is the last book, the author tries to unravel everything here that inundates. It is so very much a combination of emotions, drama and actions you never know where the plot started and where it ends. There is quite a lot of stuff going on here. It is sure to create a lot of confusion because those events are directed towards the past a lot of times. The minor incidents which you don't even notice in the previous editions and leave unheard are supposed to be the major plots. This is what I enjoyed the most. I would not say that this book is the strongest in the series for sure, but it leads to a satisfying ending.
The turning points that uses the reader's mind to reckon of the previous incidents. You ought to use your sense and understanding when Dumbledore bequest the trio each one bizarre objects. They keep it though, as it has a lot of significance in their journey in defeating Voldemort.
In every last six books, Harry has faced some challenges and subdued. But here Harry is losing everything. From his friendship with the trio to his headmaster. He has lost a lot of his friends too. It is so painful to read the part where Harry's allies from the very beginning lose their lives. I was so sorry when Hedwig, his owl sacrificed his life by casting the death spell upon him. And still, a lot of tears are to shed at the end.
The title deathly hallows are suggested as the remains from the ancestors of the magical world play a very great part in this novel.
There are a lot of tragic and heart-wrenching incidents in this series you hardly find it difficult not to empathise.
Not only does Deathly Hallows revisit key places and characters from all of the previous six books but this novel makes you feel nostalgic and stupid at the same time. The prophecy in the fifth book revealed that “neither shall live while the other survives”, and therefore by the end of book seventh book either Harry or Voldemort had to die. As every one of us here are Potter heads we wish that Harry becomes victorious.
Rowling cleverly fills her last instalment with so many twists, turns and complications, however, that it becomes practically impossible to determine which way this book is going to end.
The last book is sure to leave all Potter heads immensely satisfied and probably not wanting more. The next series probably would not catch up to where deathly hallows have left us.
CRITICISM:
To be honest I wasn't sure if I would skip the part where the bequests from the ancestors are clarified. It is so prolonged. Just because a chapter is over you need not squeeze everything in one place.
It is so illogical that if you defeat someone powerful, his precious belongings are yours. And that defeat to is chicanery and subterfuge. This ancestral heritage or hallows creates a lot of chaos and misunderstanding in the magical world at present. At first, it is clarified that the hallows belong to the defeater and later something else. It is so frustrating when all these little tiny details are illustrated.
At some places, the story flow is truly slow. The readers desperately wish that the predicament of Harry is over. Nevertheless, it catches up towards the end.
The final deciding battle is so cramped up. There are a whole lot of most important events going on at the same time. That way the readers ought to feel the events where Harry is not involved is less important. But every minor event is equally significant for winning the battle against Voldemort.
MY CLOSING THOUGHTS:
It is bittersweet wizardry through the eyes of Harry Potter for seven wonderful years. I feel very redundant to keep praising Rowling's work because it keeps improving and being extraordinary every time It is the epic conclusion to the seven years of hodgepodge of magic, friendship, adventure and a lot more.
It's overwhelming for me to believe that I finished the Harry Potter series finally. I wished to read it when I was younger, but I am so happy that I finally did. The world built in these books is so real and tangible, it is truly a masterpiece. The characters are engaging and brilliant, and I love how the plot is so interwoven and twisted within itself. Completing the whole series is truly an emotion. You get attached to the Harry Potter world so much that you feel you could perform magic in the real world too. This series is more than a story or words on a page, it is magic. And it's high time we perform some magic in our lives as well.
HAPPY READING 💕
