INTRODUCTION:
This is the third book of the Twilight Saga series preceded by New Moon. The story begins where the earlier novel ends. Bella is revealed to the leader of the vampires and there is an unseen battle between Bella and the other vampires. So there is a lot of murders going on in Seattle, Washington. Edward suspects these murders are being done by the newborn vampires. So he plans to know who is behind this carnage. So he "heroically" sets on to solve the mysterious vampire attacks.
The vampires and the werewolves team up against the culprit. The two-time immemorial enemies team up to save their common friend Bella which is cool.
Since Bella finishes high school she applies for colleges and decides to marry Edward at her own risk. But she realizes an old enemy of her seeks revenge and decides to flee and fight.
It ends on a good note as Bella, Jacob and Edward are friends now.
ANALYSIS:
This book is farranginous to me. Nor the best nor the worst. But Eclipse is by far satisfactory than the preceding novels. It got all the elements of pure fiction. The adventures, the friendship, vampire and werewolves battle is wonderful. The battle between Bella's team and Bella's opponent is worth reading. I was fascinated with this scene where Both Jacob and Edward risks their lives to save their friend's lives.
This novel is emotional at some point. Jacob decides to die in the battle after he realizes he is no more than a friend to Bella. Every reader wishes Jacob will not take that step. But yet the surge of emotions is so huge he experiences a near-death experience.
There are a lot of revelations about each of the Cullens. When Bella learns about their past she is miserable and sympathetic towards them. Even she finds Rosalie worth of love and respect. This reveals we should definitely not judge a book by its cover. A person is who he is after he is shaped and overcome by his predicament.
CRITICISM:
I loathe Bella's character. She is as dumb, stupid and naive as she was introduced in the earlier novels. Though she might be beautiful but hateful. The way she only cares for Edward not realizing other people around her also love her is so ridiculous. The way she ignores Jacob and Charlie is unnerving.
The other interesting part is to know there are way lot of haters of Bella. They are silent haters who are so afraid to confront her because of Edward. This is foolish. You need not act fake just to prove you are still friends when you are not.
It feels irritated when you are reading Bella's portrayal. She is so very helpless, clueless and overly obsessed with her lover. She only has feelings for Edward and Edward alone.
MY CLOSING THOUGHTS:
This book is a must-read if you have already read the previous novels. This beholds more drama, adventure and war fiction that won't let you remain drowsy at all. You wish to read the ending sooner leading you to complete the book in days.
This book is way better in terms of plotline, theme, battle and friendship. The adventure and the dramatic ageless fight between vampires and werewolves are dramatically halted for a time being. Like you fight with each other whole past and you stopped fighting for a certain time and now you are fighting again. It is way above reality though the whole story is fictional.
HAPPY READING💕
