Meyer was raised in Phoenix, Arizona and attended Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. INTRODUCTION:

The second series of The Twilight series takes off with a rough beginning. Bella is irked as she is CELEBRATING  her eighteenth birthday while her boyfriend remains the same age. She celebrates her birthday at the Cullens. She is faced with a mishap at the party at the risk of her life.

So Edward receives an excuse to leave her where she is and moves out to another city.

Bella is heartbroken but we don't get to know what Edward is up for the half of the novel. Meanwhile, she becomes very good friends with Jacob Black. She learns different adventure skills like cliff diving etc while she is with Jacob.

A rumour is spread about Bellas suicide which leads Edward to do the same.

Bella is made known of this and she moves out quickly to save her love. And the adventure that henceforth takes place is jaw-dropping.

ANALYSIS:

If you have read the first part you need to read this second part as we the readers are left hanging at the end of the first. This part is the quest for love. As Edward leaves Bella all on her own, which is kind of selfish, Bella is still emotionally attached to Edward's memories. This is somewhat stupid. Worrying about someone consciously who deliberately left you all alone is not only ridiculous but bizarre.

Even though she is friends with Jacob and her normal friends, she subconsciously keeps Edward ahead of everyone else. This act irked me to the point I thought of closing the book for once and all. How can a girl be so stupid she is so unaware of her best friend when he is sharing all of his secrets with her.

I loved some of the minor characters while some of the major characters irritated me. Edward and Bella are definitely on the list. The innocent, stupid and bizarre character of Bella uplifted by the arcane and over-obsessed lover character Edward is dramatic over the limit.

While I liked the minor werewolf characters. Jacobs pack was the only reason to go along with the book.

I admire the friendship between Bella and Jacob. I wish it could be eternal to see their bond and compatibility go on forever. They are so cheerful together you have a huge smile on your face as you go through their friendship.

CRITICISM:

I expected the book to be mysterious but the book was up to the expected not beyond and not under. But I expected the characters to be more clear and sophisticated in this part of the second series. But to dismay, the characters got even more bewildering and boring. This book has lead young adults and teenagers to commit suicide and be done with their lives if they are meant to be away from their partners. This very much delivers a wrong message to hormone-driven teens. It is excessively lengthy on the other hand with the redundant description of the major characters over and over again.

Yes, it is okay to be obsessed and possessed with your loved ones but within the limits where it starts being too creepy and spooky. You ought not to deliver the wrong message to the young ones. Apart from this one major plot, I enjoyed the book at merely three sittings. It is captivating and charming and abstruse to the point you reach the end.

Comparing Edward and Bella with the legendary epic characters Romeo and Juliet is not justifiable. They are eternal lovers from history while Edward and Bella are somewhat else.

MY CLOSING THOUGHTS:

I really should stop reading this book but just to remove my curiosity I have already planned to read the third series. As I have found my favourite character, Jacob Black I am definitely for the third book. It would be so very interesting to see what it holds with his friendship with Bella.

Which of the three major characters is your favourite? If you have read the novel or even watched the movie feel free to comment on your favourites.

HAPPY READING 💕
