  The month of Falgun and Chaitra resembles spring coming and along with it comes the greatest Hindu festivals MAHASHIVARATRI.  I very much look forward to this festival as Pashupatinath temple is not less than a heaven itself during this day.  There are lots of arrangements made months prior to this magnificent day.  Various local youth clubs and Pashupati Area Development Trust and of course the locals are very enthusiastic for the celebration. Not hundreds and thousands of devotes pay homage but lakhs of them pay visit to Pashupatinath temple on this auspicious occasion. And what I am excited about this festival is that I got to volunteer. And the most interesting part of volunteering is that we are allowed to order and command people (strangers most of them) to follow rules.   Today is the day of Saraswoti Puja here in Nepal. People from every age group celebrate this day with great joy and enthusiasm. It is an absolutely a really busy day. I have seen flowers and fruit vendors very busy selling flower's and fruits to students. Students buy flowers, fruits,sweets and nuts to pay homage and seek blessings from Goddess Saraswoti. They are dressed in their best dresses to attend program in their schools.They are in hurry to get to school. Small kids are eager to write their first ever letter of their life at Saraswoti temple premises. Parents are busy to teach their kids to learn new things.  Some people are getting married today.
